NICOLE Kidman and Keith Urban are preparing for parenthood by splashing out more than $11 million on two luxury homes in the US before the arrival of their first child in July.
The Oscar-winning actor and her country crooner husband have bought palatial homes in Los Angeles and Tennessee in the past month.

The A-list couple were seen this week in Nashville, where they are believed to be overseeing the redecorating of their new $3.75 million seven-bedroom home, as well as building a dream home on a 15ha property they bought last year outside the country music capital.

Kidman and Urban last month also quietly bought a $7.6 million five-bedroom home in the upmarket LA neighbourhood of Brentwood.
Their latest purchase in Tennessee dwarfs their new 520 sq m Hollywood home.
Called the Queen of Northumberland, the mansion is 1015 sq m, featuring 20 rooms spread across three floors of living space.
The home is in a heavily secured gated estate in Northumberland, just outside Nashville.
The living room measures a gigantic 10m by 7m, while the dining room is 7m long.
Other rooms include a den with a cosy fireplace, and a large home theatre.
While the gated community includes tennis courts and swimming pool for residents, the Queen of Northumberland also has its own pool and tennis court.
The ritzy estate is believed to be home to several other country music millionaires.
But the property is believed to be only a temporary home for the couple, who are expected to move into their country property in the exclusive Leiper's Fork region once building on their dream home is completed this year. They also own a home in Sydney.
Kidman, 40, who has two adopted children from her marriage to Tom Cruise, married Urban in June 2006.
She is in talks to star in Nine, an adaptation of a Tony award-winning Broadway musical that will start shooting in September.
The film will be directed by Rob Marshall of Chicago fame and will star Oscar-winner Javier Bardem as a film director juggling the demands of several women.
