Australia actress Nicole Kidman has posed naked in a photo shoot to show off her pregnant body.

Kidman reportedly arrived to a top-secret photo shoot with legendary photographer Patrick Demarchelier at Smashbox Studio in Los Angeles last week.

The mother to be is said to have embraced the idea of showing off her baby bump to the public, joining the likes of other celebrity mothers, including Cindy Crawford, Britney Spear and Elle Mcpherson, who also posed during the late stages of pregnancy.

Kidman's baby is due in July as speculation mounts over how much the first pictures of the bub will sell for.

There are estimates Kidman and her musician husband Keith Urban could earn up to $3 million by selling the rights to women's magazines.

The couple have relocated to the US in the final months of Kidman's pregnancy, despite initial reports the baby would be born in Sydney.
