Feeling the recession heat actress Nicole Kidman has sold her home in Australia for a heavily discounted price losing USD 4.5 million in the sale.

The 'Moulin Rouge' actress, who lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband Keith Urban and their daughter Sunday Rose, put her Sydney property on the market last year with an asking price of USD 15 million, Contactmusic reported.

The property was reportedly sold to an anonymous buyer last week for around USD 10.5 million, resulting a loss of USD 4.5 million.  Kidman has owned the house since 1995 when she was married to actor Tom Cruise and used it as a base whenever she visited her native country.  The star is now said to be looking for a more child friendly house outside Sydney for her daughter.
