Those performing at the event hosted by Neil Patrick Harris include Susan Sarandon and David Hyde Pierce, current Broadway performers, reports Variety.
Presented by the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League, the annual Tony Awards recognize achievement in live American theatre and are generally regarded as the theatre's equivalent to the Oscars, which recognize excellence in films. The awards are named after Antoinette Perry, co-founder of the American Theatre Wing. The event will be broadcast live on CBS.
